PVT as direct source for the heat pump

PVT collectors are often also operated as a direct source for heat pumps, without seasonal storage. For this application, we recommend a cold storage tank and a well-dimensioned heat pump, heating and hot water storage tank so that the operating times of the heat pump can be shifted to the day if possible. In addition, we recommend forced charging (overcharging) of the hot water storage tanks in the afternoon to increase the PVT modules' own power consumption and also to benefit from better production conditions. All these measures lead to a more efficient system and reduce the electricity consumption of the heat pump.
