The first project with PVT as a direct source for the heat pump together with a mini ice store (74 kWh capacity for day/night equalisation) has been fully installed.
The new system with PVT as a direct source for the heat pump and mini-ice storage as a buffer closes a gap between air/water heat pumps and geothermal probes/ice storage projects and can also be realised economically for small projects as well as for the renovation of heating systems in existing buildings.
The system consists of 18 hybrid collectors, a newly developed mini ice storage tank with 74 kWh storage capacity and the latest generation propane heat pump from our partner Heim AG in Aadorf.
The whole system is rounded off by the emergency power-capable Gen24 hybrid inverter, a 7.7 kWh battery and the integration of the 77 kWh car battery (V2L-capable). This creates extensive energy autonomy over several days for a family of 6 including an electric car.
